Jenny & Matt's Wedding 27th March 2010

Here are a few pictures from Jenny & Matt's wedding on Saturday. They are a smashing couple and I adored their colour scheme. The Bridesmaids wore a rich deep purple which looked fab with the black Calla Lily "Naomi". We chose the lilac Rose "Ocean Song" which was perfect in bringing together the Blush Calla Lily and white "Akito" Rose along with the black Calla.

I've saved the best until last! This is one of my favourite selections, and was the bouquet Emma made for my Mum for Mothers Day. She was delighted with it!
Flowers include David Austin Roses, Angelique Tulips, Pink Fondant Hyacinths, White Ranunculus, White Lilac, Pink Peonies and Viburnum Tinus.
Pink Fondant Hyacinths, Flash Night Spray Roses, Blue Anemones, Ruby Cordyline, Eucalyptus and foliage make this a really rich looking posy.
Ronaldo Tulips and Flash Night Spray Roses with Beargrass loops and foliage in simple Brown paper wrap.
This is one of the popular modern grouped hand tied designs we created this weekend. In this one we used Verino Anthuriums, Lieke Gerbera, Ruby Cordyline, Blue Lilac, Eryngium, Heaven Roses, Pink Bouvardia, Beargrass loops, Aralia and rolled Aspidestra leaves...Gorgeous Emma!
One of my favourite flowers, 'Sarah Bernhardt' Peonies, with Tulips, Hyacinths, Spray Roses, White Anemones, Lavender and Eucalyptus...Divine!
Here are a few pictures of the fantastic Bouquets we made this weekend. This one had a gorgeous mixture of scents including White Lilac, Eucalyptus, Hyacinths, Narcissi, and Lavender.

Mothering Sunday

Wow! It has been an extremely busy Mothers Day weekend, we have broken all records and between 3 drivers we did 150 deliveries on Sunday! A massive WELL DONE and THANK YOU to all my Girls, and to the delivery Boys( make them feel a bit younger!) for all your hard work, and for showing your dedication to the Flower World!
Yet again, as is tradition at Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, some of the girls and I worked in the back courtyard in a gazebo! All thermals were on, and so was Elvis...I know, unusual taste for 25 to 40 year olds, but we are a pretty unusual bunch! Unfortunately, Julie didn't treat us to her normal renditon of 'I Love to Boogie', complete with Billy Elliot style dance this time, which is a real shame, as it's sooo funny.

Clearly, as you can see, my Mum's not one to brag.
Well, we've eventually set up this blog after months of discussing it. I'm feeling it's going to be a process of trial and error with continual bickering over grammatical accuracy.
I'm sure you'll soon realise my Mum has a tendency to overly use exclamatives, hold down the full stop key and capitalise in the middle of sentences.
Anyway,enjoy reading :)
Blue Hydrangea, Avalanche Roses, White Freesia, Dill, Lisianthus and Eucalyptus pods surrounded by Aralia leaves and Cordyline

Another 'Emma' bouquet

This is another fantasic bouquet by Emma, and typical of her taste. She loves using Hydrangea heads, berries, unusual Roses and Tulips along with fragranced Eucalyptus and mixed herbs.

Some stunning bouquets by a very talented Florist...My Daughter, Emma

Ok, so I am obviously going to be biased...but this is a bouquet to dream about!
Emma has just turned 17, she is studying for her A levels and just passed her driving test last week! (Great, she can do deliveries now too!)

All white rose bouquet with a Pearl and Bead framework
Wrist Corsages are making a big comeback! This is a sumptious 'Heaven' rose, with pink Bouvardia and fresh Rosemary.....mmmmmm smells divine too!
Understated, yet classic, always a popular choice
Don't you just LOVE Peonies?! One of my favourite flowers, I simply adore working with them: they are so beautiful!

Welcome to Alderley Flowers Blog!

Hello!

At last I've finally created a Blog! I know, I'm normally way behind the times when it comes to technology but hey, I get there in the end!

Alderley Flowers has just re designed its website, so I thought this would be a great time to get started as a Blogger too.

Bear with me though, I am a learner, you have been warned!
